Humberto Plancarte, originally from Rancho Las Juntas de Poturo, municipality of Churumuco, Michoacán, began his music career in 1998 with the aim of leaving a lasting legacy on audiences. Two years later, in 2000, he founded the group Tierra Cali in Uruapan, Michoacán, which has been recognized for its authenticity and dedication, captivating national and international audiences.

Since its conception, led by Humberto, band is renowned for revitalizing grupera music, blending elements of northern style, banda, tropical rhythms, among others, to create a unique sound that represents Mexican culture. In 2008, Humberto and Tierra Cali solidified their success by placing three of their albums in the Top 100 sales charts, according to Soundscan and Billboard, achieving significant sales and multiple awards. With numerous albums Tierra Cali excelled on the charts of regional Mexican music.

With nominations for the Billboard Awards in multiple categories, top sales charts, and collaborations with a large group of artist, additionally, under the HP Rancho Music label, Plancarte has sought to expand his legacy by supporting various artists through his record label, a leading brand within the expansive universe of Mexican regional music.
